Best Privacy & Security Chrome extensions

What the Privacy & Security category looks like

This is a consolidated, high-trust category under constant new pressure: the top ten hold about 7 in 10 of users (one antivirus guard alone carries over 160M), yet roughly 7 in 10 listings were first published in the past year — more churn than anywhere else — as new blockers and VPNs pour in. The usable tier is the best-rated on the store, because here users abandon anything that feels unsafe instantly. Breaking in is a credibility game: a narrow, transparently-built blocker or privacy tool can climb, but reputation is the entire moat.
