The AppScout extension is straightforward and useful when you’re exploring different tools. It helps you quickly get a sense of what’s out there without needing to spend too much time digging around.

AppScout gave us visibility into application usage that we simply didn’t have at a global level. It helped uncover browser-based and unsanctioned tools that were being used across regions without consistent oversight. What I appreciate is how quietly it works. There was no disruption to teams, but the insights were immediate and actionable. It’s helped us strengthen software governance, reduce blind spots, and standardize how we identify and manage applications across the organization.

AppScout has given us much better visibility into the applications our teams are actually using across regions. It runs quietly in the background and immediately highlights tools that don't go through formal approval or are being used inconsistently. For a global IT environment, this kind of clarity is extremely valuable. We're now able to address shadow IT early, reduce duplicate tools, and guide teams toward approved applications without slowing them down.

AppScout filled a major gap in our SAM program. Traditional tools told us what we owned, but AppScout showed us what was actually being used across browsers and devices. We uncovered shadow apps, duplicate tools, and usage patterns we had no visibility into earlier. It runs quietly, requires almost no setup, and gives us the kind of ground-level data SAM teams really need.

AppScout gave us visibility we didn't even realize we were missing. It quietly tracks the apps our teams actually interact with — not just the ones we think they use. Within a week, we uncovered a handful of tools that weren't approved or simply weren't adding value. Having this level of clarity helps us make smarter decisions about budgeting, renewals, and what tools are worth keeping. It's simple, accurate, and has completely changed how we view our software stack.

AppScout has given us visibility we didn’t even realize we were missing. We always thought we had a good handle on our applications, but once we installed AppScout, it surfaced apps being used in browsers and across devices that never showed up in our internal tracking. We’re able to catch shadow tools early, cut down unused SaaS spend, and stay ahead of compliance risks. The Exit Watch feature is especially useful — licenses don’t slip through the cracks when people leave. It feels like a real-time radar for our software landscape.

AppScout has quietly become one of my favorite tools. It runs in the background and shows us exactly what software our team is actually using — not just what we think they're using. We found apps we didn’t approve, a few random browser tools, and some subscriptions no one remembered signing up for. The best part? It took minutes to roll out. No complicated setup, no training. It’s one of those tools you install, forget about, and then wonder how you ever worked without it.

AppScout has made software management surprisingly simple. The extension quietly works in the background, capturing every app employees use, and presents it in a clear, actionable format. We can quickly identify underused or redundant tools, which has saved us both money and time. The reporting features help CIOs, FinOps, and IT teams make informed decisions about licenses and compliance. It’s like having a constant watch over your digital landscape without any extra effort. Highly recommend for modern enterprises.

We found three overlapping design tools with ten active licenses between them—and only two people using any of them. AppScout flagged it automatically. We shut down the extras, consolidated usage, and saved thousands within days. It's like having a cost-optimization analyst built into every browser, watching silently but speaking up when it matters.

AppScout is like X-ray vision for your digital landscape. I had no idea how many browser-based tools my teams had started using unofficially. Now, we bring structure to our SaaS sprawl.

AppScout is the secret weapon we didn’t know we needed. With ShadowOps Insight, we finally gained control over rogue IT purchases and unauthorized tool usage. It helped IT regain governance without slowing innovation.

We’ve tried different software management tools, but nothing compares to AppScout’s depth of insight, real-time monitoring, and ease of use. If you care about software visibility, this is the tool to get.

We thought our app usage data was solid—until AppScout by Forescribe showed us otherwise. It picked up tools being used via Edge and Firefox that never showed up in our SSO logs. This helped us flag rogue extensions and trim unused licenses almost instantly. Absolute game-changer for tightening compliance.

Managing IT for a global company means constant surprises. AppScout gave us real-time visibility into every app employees used. When an employee left, Exit Watch alerted us, ensuring immediate deactivation of their software access. No more security gaps!

We dreaded our annual IT compliance audit—until AppScout streamlined everything. By identifying shadow IT, tracking app usage, and ensuring only approved software was in use, we sailed through the audit with zero red flags.
