I'm involved in many different activities and often need to find, remember, or organize information. Dokkio maintains a huge repository for me covering everything from the web pages I've visited, including my Gmails, to files I've tucked away in the various places on my PC and in cloud storage. I do a fair amount of AI work, and Dokkio is also there - directly in the AI chats bringing up relevant info from my repository. Their Chrome extension keeps a floating icon on the screen that when you click on it gives you a brief page summary and the ability to assign descriptor tags for the repository. This app has really been a game changer for me!

Strong product with powerful search enhanced by local file index and connectors to cloud sources. Many times I find that Dokkio results are more useful than Google search results as it is responding with my personal library (needs chrome add-on for search results on Google). Rich capture features, especially image capture, which is included in search and Dokkio chat responses. Strong team and responsive user-centric product development process. I hope that the app will become snappier in the future and UI will keep improving. Wish them the very best!

I've been using Dokkio Sidebar for a while now, and it's made my browsing and research more organized. It automatically tags the pages I visit and connects them with my cloud files, so finding something I looked at last week doesn't mean digging through a hundred open tabs or scrolling forever in Google Drive. The tagging is smart too. It picks up what a page is about and links to related files across Gmail, Dropbox, and Drive, saving a lot of manual sorting. The only minor drawback is that on a smaller screen, it can take up space. But you can just turn it off when you need the room back, so it's not a dealbreaker at all. Overall, it's a solid tool if you're juggling a lot of research, client files, or web content across different platforms. Recommend it.

Dokkio Sidebar is a powerful tool, but its usefulness depends entirely on how much access you give it. The more you connect - Google Drive, Gmail, browsing activity - the more it can do, but that also means giving it real visibility into your digital life. It's worth being thoughtful about those permissions. Where it shines is in suggestions. It automatically tags and organizes pages, files, and messages as you work, surfacing connections you probably wouldn't make manually. The MultiSearch feature is genuinely handy - it mirrors your web searches across your own connected documents, so you can find files without jumping between apps. The sidebar stays lightweight and out of the way until you need to clip, bookmark, or screenshot something. If you're someone who lives in Chrome and has content scattered across cloud storage and email, it's a solid layer of organization. Just go in with your eyes open: the deep integration is what makes it useful, but it's also what gives it access. Use it wisely.

Dokkio has made it much easier to keep track of documents across different sources. The search capabilities and organization tools have helped streamline my workflow, especially when juggling multiple clients and business projects. It's an intuitive tool that has saved me both time and frustration.

I strongly advise caution before installing the Dokkio extension. My experience suggests significant vulnerabilities and a lack of transparent security practices. 1. Unauthorized Activity & Privacy Breach After approving permissions, the application appears to analyze personal data and initiate outbound communications without explicit user consent. I have received direct complaints from Slack colleagues regarding "weird" messages sent on my behalf that I never authorized or triggered. This behavior is a massive red flag for any tool managing sensitive cloud file access. 2. Obsolete Security Documentation The Security Whitepaper linked in their official documentation is severely outdated, last updated in November 2020. For a cloud service that requests full access to Google Drive, Dropbox, and Slack, relying on five-year-old security claims is unprofessional and dangerous: https://statics.dokkio.com/onboarding/security_whitepaper.pdf 3. Poor Transparency When I reached out to their representative to ask why they are still publishing such suspicious and outdated documentation, the communication was abruptly cut off. As soon as I pressed for details on their current security posture, they stopped responding entirely. Bottom Line: A company that handles your most private files but refuses to maintain updated security docs or explain unauthorized messaging is not a company you can trust. Avoid until they provide a verified, modern security audit.

Best app for Research and productivity

The extension is a solid connector to Dokkio itself. Also, since most of us have separate bookmarks and folder trees that are similar but frustratingly independent, it offers a quick way to tag websites and browser-accessed files (quicker than selecting a destination folder). I'm hoping to stop using Chrome bookmarks so I can finally keep browser-based information under one roof.

It would be really great if it didn't force you to connect accounts, and actually had Notion.

In a world where files are scattered all around different apps and workspaces, the Dokkio sidebar allows you to see all your most recent files from all applications in real time making it much easier for you to link to and find!

I love Dokkio because it saves me time and bother. Before Dokkio I'd often waste time seeking and organizing key files and documents spread over different clouds. Now Dokkio does all that for me in a click! And if you're a regular Google Chrome, Google Drive and Gmail user, it makes absolute sense to install the Dokkio Google Crime sidebar.

It solves such a real world problem of not being able to find files that I never can find.
