What a valuable tool to help organize and do family history! It just keeps getting better and better. I love the Subway map and the AI features in the paid version. I need to correct two misconceptions from other reviews. 1) Goldie May does interface with FamilySearch Family Tree, but you *don't* have to use Family Tree with Goldie May. 2) Goldie May has a YouTube channel with many helpful videos. It's not true that there's no documentation.

Let's start with, zero documentation for new users. I see no instructions, and it certainly is not intuitive. They want you to spend good money up front, but on what? The free version is just another place to take notes, I have plenty of notes already

Looks like a wonderful tool. Have seen how it can work in LDS family history center but when load App onto my computer there are no instructions on how to use and connect the app to Family Tree & Ancestey etc. I am sure it works well but for a first time user of the App very confusing on how you are supposed to use the app and connect it to the sites you use for research. It has a good report from the LDS family history Libraries.

I love this app! I kept losing my genealogy notes and struggling to keep track of my projects and goals. After getting frustrated, I checked RootsTech and discovered Goldie May. Richard Miller's presentation was excellent, and his app has been the perfect solution. Thank you for creating such a fantastic tool to help me to stay organized and focused!

This is just what I needed to help me keep my personal and clients' research logs! I can log pages I need to pull at my local FamilySearch Center. I can input tasks that I am working on in each project (I have one for each of my family lines, as well as my clients'). I love that I can add comments to my research log since the name of the page is sometimes of no help. I have tried other platforms to keep my research straight, but this is the only one I have found that is genealogy based in its development. I have told Richard that it is how I would have done it if I knew what I was doing! I recommend the extension to everyone that comes into the FamilySearch Center where I volunteer and they all love it too. Thank you!

I love using Goldie May. It really is the perfect companion to have alongside the large genealogy websites. It can help so much in visualizing what is going on when I have a complicated family or a case where two families might have been incorrectly merged. I also love using the volunteer tools with youth groups.

A great tool to help with family history research. I use it mostly when comparing two duplicate people in FamilySearch. It helps visualize how closely they match. I hope to explore more aspects of this tool soon.

Best family history research assistant I've ever used. This really helps me to keep focused, navigate quickly, log my reseach, and visualize my family relationships. The developer is also extremely open to feedback and responds to questions and issues quickly!

this looks better than what i created in vscode. if its as good as it says it is ill upgrade the rating. i bet as soon as i upload my dna im gonna hit the paywall. im sure of it!

Makes increasing the FamilyTree size infinitely easier and faster, would highly recommend giving it a try!

Really great extension that simplifies so many of the steps for keeping track of research. Particularly for me, as someone who is not only disorganized but also distracted by every rabbit hole I find, this helps to keep me on task and most especially know where to start each time I begin researching. A huge game-changer in the family history tech space.

The chief benefit of this extension in my opinion is that it points out which ancestors are well sourced and which have never had any updating since the old Book of Remembrance pages. Let's face it. Too many of us think our family history is "done," when the tree hasn't been pruned or fertilized for years. This is a great time for this utility to be launched, since more of us are housebound and need some constructive things to do with our browsers. It can also serve as a way to create a to-do list and "research log" that might be useful to whoever inherits our computer if we pass on sooner than we planned.

I was disappointed to see that this extension relies solely upon individuals added to Family Search's "one shared tree". I strongly encourage individuals to recognize that while Family Search's primary benefactor, the Church of Latter Day Saints, generously provides an outstanding array of digitized array of genealogical resources, their goal of building "one tree" offers zero privacy or control by family members who might not share their vision. I do not subscribe to the religious beliefs of the Church of Latter Day Saints, and therefore, cannot recommend a tool that is in line with their principles.
