I've been using Miyo by the Brevilabs team for a while now, and I need to say this plainly: Miyo solves a problem that has been quietly breaking personal knowledge management for years.
Here's the problem. You take notes in Obsidian. You brainstorm with ChatGPT. You research with Claude. You build with Claude Code or Codex. Every single one of these tools is powerful on its own — and every single one of them is an island. ChatGPT doesn't know what you told Claude yesterday. Claude can't see the notes you wrote in Obsidian last week. You end up re-explaining yourself constantly, copy-pasting context between windows, and worst of all, your knowledge fragments across platforms that will never talk to each other.
Miyo fixes this. It is a shared external memory that sits on your own computer, indexes your Obsidian vault or any folder, and makes it available to every AI you use. ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor — they all read from and write to the same files. Your notes are the source of truth, and every AI you interact with becomes an extension of that same knowledge base.
Your data stays yours. Miyo runs locally, indexes only the folders you choose, and nothing goes to the cloud. The vector database and embedding model run as local processes on your machine. When you use the relay to connect ChatGPT or Claude's web apps, it's an encrypted tunnel to your local server — your files never leave your computer.
The real impact is immediate. Before Miyo, I spent real time re-establishing context every time I switched tools. Now I open any AI and it already knows my projects, my notes, my decisions. I can ask Claude on my phone about something I wrote in Obsidian on my desktop. I can have Claude Code read my project specs directly from the vault. One vault, accessible everywhere.
Miyo is the connective tissue that turns a collection of separate AI tools into a coherent system that grows with you. If you use more than one AI tool and you care about keeping your knowledge centralized and portable, Miyo is not optional — it's the foundation everything else should sit on. Thank you to Brevilabs team, for building the thing we didn't know we desperately needed.
