I have found Trails so be useful in generating guides to describe how to use software effectively for people across my organization. I like how easy it is to quickly create clean looking guides that include an easy to follow along video. I also appreciate how easy it is to edit the guide later. The team behind Trails has been really responsive, friendly, and helpful when I have questions or recommendations. Highly recommend.

As one of the cofounders of Trails, I am going to be a bit biased with my 5-star review. That being said, our team is committed to delivering a quality product that saves our users time and makes their lives easier. We take feedback seriously. As an example, a previous reviewer mentioned that guides created with our extension were public by default and we have since re-written our onboarding so that guides created by new users are private. If you ever have any issue, please chat with us in-app or email at support@trails.so and we'll do our best to resolve any issues. Thank you!

Simple, fast, and the output looks great Installed the extension and made my first guide in maybe 5 minutes ?? It captures your clicks and writes little descriptions for each step. Some of them I had to reword but most were fine as is. The output looks clean enough that I didn't feel embarrassed sharing it with a client, which is really all I need. Free tier lets you do a decent amount too, I used it for a couple weeks before upgrading.
