I don't know how to write custom ad blocker filters or mess with advanced search settings to get rid of the new clutter at the top of my browser.I wanted something that just worked instantly without any ongoing maintenance. VanishAI is completely foolproof,i installed it, and i am done. The clean interface comparison says it all; it effortlessly drops real results right at the top of my screen where they belong.

I fully assumed this extension would turn out to be another broken wrapper script that would accidentally block my image lookup filters or mess up my localized Google Maps routing. To my surprise, the parameter filtering logic is highly selective, intervening exclusively on standard web text search URLs. The fact that it manages to deliver a completely reliable cleanup experience without requiring a single configuration toggle proves that the software design is top-tier.

This VanishAI: Remove Google AI Overviews extension has been a great help to me by cleaning up and bypassing the AI-generated Google search results. It restores my classic Google search results, making it a fantastic filter for Google search results

I liked this extension because it made Google search pages feel less cluttered and easier to read It starts working right away without any configuration, so there's nothing extra to do after adding it.

Love this extension! It does exactly what it promises and keeps Google search results clean and simple. Installation took seconds and there was nothing to configure. I really like that everything works locally without tracking or unnecessary permissions.

Really like this extension so far. I was getting tired of Google's AI Overview taking up half the page every search. After installing VanishAI, search results feel much cleaner and faster to browse. No settings to mess with and it just worked right away. Haven't noticed any issues yet, although it took me a minute to realize it was switching to Web results automaticly. Simple tool, but does exactly what it says.

pros: it uses google's official parameter filter which means the functionality won't break whenever the web layout undergoes a visual update. maps, news, and image searches continue to operate normally without interference. cons: since it works automatically on every standard query you have to click the toolbar popup icon to manually pause it if you actually want to see a generative summary box. It is a bliss for anyone who values a quiet web.
