Doesn't work for full conversations, it only seems to generate a pdf for the conversation this is visable/shown. Any part of the conversation not loaded does not get generated so at best you get about 3 pages of conversation. Adobes plugin at least detects long conversations and tries to scroll (albeit seems to timeout eventually).

I initially had a problem with one of my conversations; it would get to a specific post and stop. All others downloaded as expected. The problem occurred when exporting as Word, but not as PDF. I contacted support and they responded within an hour (which surprised me). I told them it was breaking at a "select option 1 or 2" responses (I only knew this because I had saved the alternate response and saw that in a previous back up - wouldn't hurt for ChatGPT to notate these kind of responses in some way.) There was also a botched automated task, followed by a successful automated task created within two turns of the multiple choice. In less than a day Backrun responded back they'd found an issue system parse and complex events like that, fix the software and were just waiting on Chrome Web Store to review updates an republish. Flawless there after! The ability to export a single full chat or sections of the chat makes having local backups so much easier. ChatGPT current allows only full account export (all chats), then you have to wait a day or so until it's ready, then download within 24 hours or start over. Not very efficient. If your exports are breaking and you recall events occurring near that point, I highly recommend contacting support - you won't wait long. Future development suggestion: Including AI/User attributions in Word would make this 6 star!

Works perfectly! "Does exactly what it says on the tin. It's so convenient to be able to save my ChatGPT threads with just one click. Exporting to PDF and Notion works seamlessly without messing up the text formatting. A must-have extension if you use ChatGPT regularly."

With chatgpt.com System theme (default), free-login non-business long textual conversation selected & displayed, ran extension, provided access, page must be refreshed, various export icons appear at top-right and inline at each Q&A section, export to Word selected, save-as dialog displayed, then .docx file (52kb) contained all of the conversation. Critique: There is no separation between answers and the questions but at least they stand out with a different background color. Request: Export to HTML preferred

I've tried a few tools, but this is the best chatgpt exporter on the store. I love that you can customize the font, size, and text color before saving your chats to a PDF or Google Doc. Plus, knowing that everything is processed locally on my device gives me great peace of mind regarding privacy.

I think it is awesome - Recommendations for wider adoption (1) Currently, if you just load a conversation in ChatGPT you do not get anything which hasn't loaded in - i.e. you need to scroll to the top to get it to load. Maybe fix that otherwise people will lose a bunch of longer conversations (2) Consider an export to a markdown (.md) file for Obsidian users. There is a whole community who would absolutely adore this.

I didn’t expect to use this extension that much, but ChatGPT Exporter has been really useful. It’s easy to use, exports fast, and the formatting comes out much better than I thought.
