I teach high school ELA and grading essays is honestly the worst part of my week. A colleague told me to try CoGrader and I've been using it ever since. The feedback it generates is actually thoughtful.

This extension connects to Canvas in seconds and cut my grading time in half – wish I'd found it sooner.

This works for grading with Canvas. Also I like the different types of feedback and that I can adjust the tone to be more neutral or more friendly. It also provides very specific feedback for each piece of writing, which has cut down on my workload, especially when I’m trying to grade so many papers at once. It gives students the support they need to keep working on their paper and continue improving.

CoGrader has significantly transformed the way grading and feedback are handled. It makes grading faster, clearer and more consistent. It simplifies the entire process while still delivering meaningful, structured feedback. Cograder is more than just a tool, its a smart solution that saves time and improves the overall experience for both educators and students.

CoGrader is a solid extension for Canvas users. The main advantage is the time savings. If you're spending hours every week on essay feedback, having an AI tool that can help generate starting points for comments is genuinely useful. You don't have to write everything from scratch anymore. The integration with SpeedGrader is well done. You stay in Canvas the whole time, which beats having to copy submissions to another tool and paste grades back. It's a smoother workflow. What's nice is that you keep full control. You set your rubric and grading criteria, and the tool follows your standards instead of doing whatever it wants. You review everything before posting anyway, so you're not blindly trusting the AI with student grades. The privacy approach seems reasonable too. Student data isn't being used to train models, which matters if you work with FERPA-regulated institutions. Your Canvas credentials stay with Canvas. If you grade assignments in Canvas and want to cut down on the repetitive work of writing feedback, this extension makes sense. It's designed specifically for Canvas users, so it fits into the workflow you're already using instead of adding another step to your process.
