I thought this was an awesome addition to Google. I was using it in my Google forms so students can hear me read the questions and answers for their quiz, if they needed that accomodation. Why are we as educators limited to the amount of mote recordings? Why do educators have to pay an annual fee of $99 to have the ability to make additional recordings?

I think the addition of this extension to Google Docs is brilliant, especially when students are working on drafting documents. Students can listen to what they have written and make any necessary corrections. It also helps improve comprehension and facilitates learning sounds at the same time. It is a useful tool that supports writing, reading, and comprehension through listening.

The Gold Standard for Ed-Tech Mote is hands-down my go-to for teaching elementary Language Arts. It was a lifesaver during the pandemic, and it continues to be indispensable today. There is simply no substitute for the power of the human voice in learning. Why I love it: The New Toolbar: Seamlessly integrates voice into emails, Docs, and Slides, making my workflow—and personal research—actually joyful. Text-to-Speech (TTS):My favorite feature! It generates crisp, life-like audio from any text, which I hyperlink into presentations so students can access support during independent work. Classroom Integration: I just launched my first Mote classroom, and the students are absolutely thrilled. With reasonable pricing and a support team that genuinely cares, I look no further. If you want to engage students in ways you never imagined, get Mote. ---

when I try to record it doesn't work and says "An error occurred while checking if you can insert into slides. Try again and if the problem persists kindly contact support." nothing works

It makes you have pop up ads on your computer. My laptop was fine i downloaded this extension and i started to get a new tab open for joycast .ai deleted the extension and no more ad.

pretty cool but i wish you could upload audio files instead of having to record the entire thing. That way we could insert songs which you can listen to while reading.

I've been using Mote since 2020, and when I changed schools, I asked my next department to cover my account because it's SO useful. Even if they hadn't though, it would have been worth the expense for me. As someone who spends a lot of time leaving students feedback, being able to record my thoughts as I think them has both saved me a ton of time and given me a way to add context through the tone of my voice. The same words can come across a lot more positively/gently/kindly verbally than in writing. I also appreciate that it works across Google file types and especially that it works in Google Classroom. I will always be a fan!
