If you are looking for an IP checker that actually respects your data privacy, this is the absolute gold standard. Most "free" IP extensions on the store are a complete trap. They prominently display a green "No data collected" badge on their storefront, but the moment you scroll down and click their external Privacy Policy link, you unmask the truth. Those corporate-backed tools route your web requests through external company cloud servers that actively log your real IP address, browser details, and exact timestamps for up to 180 days. Many even harvest the hostnames of the websites you visit or bundle hidden ad networks to monetize your traffic. Other independent tools fail because they are abandoned software from years ago, or they completely hijack your browser by taking over your "New Tab" start page just to show you a single number.
