I was just randomly browsing and came across You DefineTube, and I’m honestly glad I did. I’ve only been using it for a day, but the difference is immediately noticeable. It basically removes all the unnecessary distractions from YouTube and lets you focus on just the video. No Shorts, no homepage recommendations, no sidebar suggestions, no comments — it feels so much cleaner and calmer. What stood out to me is how much more intentional watching videos feels. Features like hiding “People also watched” and “People also search for” make it feel like I’m actually choosing what to watch, instead of being constantly pulled in different directions by the algorithm which eventually makes you more and more distracted. That said, I do feel like there’s a small tradeoff. Hiding things like “Channels new to you” can sometimes reduce content discovery, especially when you one do wants to explore similar creators. But honestly, I would still prefer having control over that rather than being endlessly scrolling every now and then. Overall, even after just a day of using it, I can say it’s a great extension if you want a more focused, distraction-free YouTube experience. Definitely worth trying.

Really great extension. It adds a lot of useful features and makes the YouTube experience much better. The UI and functionality are impressive. Just one small thing, I noticed a bit of lag/slowness when enabling it or starting YouTube. It’s not a big issue, but improving that would make it perfect. Overall, amazing work!

Really helpful extension. I mainly use YouTube for learning, and the recommendations/Shorts always end up distracting me. This removes all that clutter and makes the experience much more focused. The UI is simple and it works as expected. The time limit feature is also a nice touch.
